ROGER GPS Cables
The cable supplied with the ROGER GPS Repeater kit is the standard RG58 type. The cable can be used to make a connection over a maximum distance of 20 metres. Longer connections using this type of cable cause considerable signal attenuation.


If the length of the cable from the external antenna to the repeater is over 20 metres, there are two options:
a) A better cable
RG214/RG213 cable permits cable lengths of up to 45 to 50 metres.

b) Use a line amplifier
A line amplifier installed between the antenna and repeater/signal splitter amplifies the signal by +18dB, allowing cable lengths of up to 50 metres with the RG-58/RG-223 cable or up to 100 metres.
